Sketchbook

This is the latest addition to my sketchbook. I did this tonight instead of actual homework that I had. Haha oh well I enjoyed it.

Hm.

Do you ever wonder if people are who they say they are? I mean we all like to think of ourselves as certain types of people and we all protray ourselves differently to the world based on how we want to be seen. But do you ever think that we all might be pretending? It's kind of bizarre. You might think you really know somebody but in reality you only know what they are letting you see of them. So why do we hide behind these masks? Is it to protect ourselves from what's out there.. or are we just afraid....

and im lonesome when you're around.

A nice heart and a white suit and a baby blue sedan. 

And I am doing the best that I can. 

All the eunuchs, they were standing in rows

singing, "Please stud us out just as fast as you possibly can." 

Sad song, last dance and no one knows who the band was 

And Henry, you danced like a wooden Indian 

Except this one mattered and I felt it had a spirit

And I shot the story because I didn't hear it that way

I have had this song stuck in my head all weekend, it is one of my all time favorites. The lyrics are absolutely wonderful.

This is why my new years ruled! I love all these people sooo much.
Burlington, Vermont was definitely an experience I will never forget and I am so thankful for everyone I was with that allowed for this kickass night!

the year 2009.

A new year begins, with the intent of starting over and having a fresh start. False attempts for a new resolution, to stop smoking, to lose weight, to stop drinking, to give up some type of guilty pleasure which we all enjoy. Everyone wants to start the new year off right... to pretend to be a better person than they actually are, but in reality these resolutions will last maybe a few days, a week, even a month if you're really ambitious. But after we quit kidding ourselves we get back into our own silly routines. SO I say forget about these silly resolutions that people get so obsessed with trying to accomplish. And say hello to the new year just being yourself and hopefully willing to grow and learn and venture off into great things.

Happy New Year everyone, and goodbye 2008!
