Who are we really?

We question ourselves as individuals, who we are? what we do? who we want to become? But are we really individuals? or are we just forced to believe that because society tells us we are. Everyone likes to think as themselves as a true individual, different from anyone else. YET here we are passing through life doing mindless things that we hate doing. Why do them then? We question these things but never really react. Leaving us trapped behind the glass of fads and trends that society holds up so high. SO are we infact individuals? or are we just robots trapped behind the confinced glass of society?
